Abstract: Physiological changes during pregnancy can alter maternal and fetal drug exposure. The objective of this work was to predict maternal and umbilical ceftazidime pharmacokinetics during pregnancy. Ceftazidime transplacental permeability was predicted from its physicochemical properties and incorporated into the model.
