An asymptotic formula for perturbations in an electromagnetic eigenvalue problem due to the presence of small deformable dielectric inclusion

Abstract

We consider a homogeneous electromagnetic material enclosing a bounded ‐domain with a small dielectric inclusion. We derive a rigorous asymptotic expansion of the eigenvalues of the Maxwell operator as the diameter of the inclusion goes to zero.
