Abstract: An efficient and modified Biginelli one‐pot synthesis of new‐isoxazole substituted 3,4‐dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones and thiones from aromatic aldehydes, ketoamide and urea/thiourea in acetonitrile using VCl3 as the catalyst is described.
