An efficient approach to the local optimization of finite electromagnetic band-gap structures

Abstract: Abstract:We propose a methodology based on linear embedding via Green's operators (LEGO) and the eigencurrent expansion method (EEM) to efficiently deal with and locally optimize 2-D electrically large electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structures.
