An efficient in vitro regeneration protocol to generate stable transgenic lines of Black gram (Vigna mungo)

Abstract: An efficient and quick in vitro regeneration protocol was developed for black gram (Vigna mungo) using wounded embryonic axis with cotyledon as explant. Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 4.44 μM BAP and 2.32 μM Kinetin was found to be effective in producing maximum number (mean 7.80) of multiple shoots.
