An Electronically Controlled Automotive Gas Turbine

Abstract

The paper describes the use of an electronic control system with an experimental automotive gas turbine. A description of the gas turbine together with a summary of the control requirements is given. The resultant control system consisting of electronic logic and hydraulic interface components is presented. Finally, engine and vehicle behavior in steady-state and transient operation and reported.
