Abstract:Mobile hosts typically have scarce energy due to short battery lifetimes. In this paper, we propose a scheduling algorithm which is suitable for the battery-constrained multihop packet radio networks. The proposed algorithm, called ECTS, focuses on conserving battery power while preserving topology transparency, guaranteed minimum throughput, bounded maximum delay, and fair transmission policy. The ECTS algorithm conserves the power using strategies that allow the network interface to use the low power sleep m… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
