An evaluation study of protocols used in cable TV networks

Abstract: This paper presents a performance simulation analysis of several protocols proposed for implementation in a Cable TV Network. One of the protocols simulated is DQRAP (Distributed Queuing Random Access Protocol). DQRAP is a multiple access protocol with packet reservation scheme using contention mmislots.
