An Examination of Differences Between Organizational Legitimacy and Organizational Reputation*

Abstract:  Organizational legitimacy and organizational reputation have similar antecedents, social construction processes and consequences. Nonetheless, an improved understanding of relationships between legitimacy and reputation requires that differences between the two be specified and clarified.
