“…Karra et al 20 investigated the adsorption of CO 2 , N 2 , and CH 4 in the copper metal frame of carboxylic acid. Gasem et al 21, Heymans et al 22, and Stéphane et al 23 carried out similar studies for coal and rocks of the San Juan basin, a ZSM‐5‐type zeolite, and Asturias coal and rocks, coming to the same conclusions, respectively, and the analysis indicates that this phenomenon is caused by the differences in molecular size, adsorption energy, and the interactions between molecules. And it is considered that the adsorption state of shale gas is mainly physical adsorption.…”

“…These analytical formulas are required to possess sufficient accuracy compared to the IAS model in estimation of the adsorption equilibrium of mixed gases. It is well-known that the adsorption equilibrium of mixed gases consisting of adsorbates having different affinities for the adsorbent shows significant deviation compared to that of single gases due to the effect of competitive adsorption [28][29][30]. Since the prediction accuracy of this specific behavior substantially defines the reliability of the calculated results of PSA simulations, the applicability of the analytical formulas of the adsorption equilibrium of mixed gases under various PSA operating conditions should be evaluated.…”

“…Scholars have analysed the gas adsorption capacity of coal in terms of pore type, pore shape, pore surface roughness, pore size distribution, specific surface area, total pore volume, and physical properties 22,23 . Scholars have performed much research on the adsorption and gas storage mechanism of coal-bed methane (CBM) [24][25][26][27] , while there is very little research on oxygen; most of these studies considered macroscopic aspects to explore the impact of oxygen adsorption factors [28][29][30] . Song et al analysed the influence of intra-particle, inter-particle and external O 2 diffusion on high-temperature heterogeneous oxidation 31 .…”
