An Exploratory Pilot Study of Genetic Marker for IgE-Mediated Allergic Diseases with Expressions of FcεR1α and Cε

Abstract: The high affinity immunoglobulin E (IgE) receptor-FcεR1 is mainly expressed on the surface of effector cells. Cross-linking of IgE Abs bound to FcεR1 by multi-valent antigens can induce the activation of these cells and the secretion of inflammatory mediators. Since FcεR1 plays a central role in the induction and maintenance of allergic responses, this study aimed to investigate the association of FcεR1 with the allergic phenotype of Cε expression and cytokine and histamine release from peripheral leukocytes. … Show more

“…Eosinophils are components of white blood cells of the immune defense system, and play a role in evolution of inflammation and disease [ 55 , 56 ]. FCER1A (Fc fragment of IgE receptor Ia) is an IgE receptor (immunoglobulin receptor), which is the initiating factor of allergic reactions and plays a role in allergic inflammation [ 57 , 58 ]. The interaction between FCER1B and other immunoglobulin-related inflammatory genes will increase the risk of asthma [ 59 ].…”

“…In this study, we used FceRI gene analysis to evaluate its expression during allergic reactions. Various previous studies also reported same methods to evaluated FceRI level by using gene expression in allergic reactions (Akizawa 2003;Liao et al 2015;Lora et al 2003). Additionally, both surface and mRNA expression of FceRI were upregulated by Th2 cytokines (i.e.…”

“…ALOX15 and its metabolites are implicated in the pathophysiology of multiple inflammatory diseases, such as sepsis, arthritis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and atherosclerosis [36]. FCER1A (Fc fragment of IgE receptor Ia, FCER1A), an immune-related protein, is the initiating factor of allergic reactions and plays a role in allergic inflammation [37,38]. FCER1A has been implicated in regulating metabolic processes and immune regulation in previous studies.…”

“…FCER1A has been implicated in regulating metabolic processes and immune regulation in previous studies. [38,39]. Additionally, asthma is more likely to occur when FCER1B and other immunoglobulinrelated inflammatory genes interact [39].…”
