An Fe Shooting Method for Solving Infinite Domain Problems

Abstract: SUMMARYThe shooting method is used in FE analysis for solving problems in in®nite domains. To restrain the instability of marching solutions caused by the position of the main diagonal of a stiness matrix in a matrix of the shooting method, a special retransformation of sets of the marching solutions is presented.
