An improved multipath MANET routing using link estimation and swarm intelligence

Abstract: Routing in ad hoc networks is challenging as nodes are mobile and links are continuously created and broken. Current on-demand ad hoc routing algorithms start route discovery after path break, incurring high cost to detect the disconnection and to establish a new route. Specifically, when a path is liable to break, the source is warned about the likelihood of disconnection. The source then starts path discovery avoiding disconnection entirely. A path is likely to break when link availability decreases. Since r… Show more

“…The simulation outcomes enhanced the jitter and delay of the network and minimized the computational complexity. Prabha and Ramaraj 31 has developed an enhanced AOMDV strategy for routing in video streaming. Node mobility, bit error rate, queuing delay of neighboring nodes, and link availability are considered for performing the routing operation.…”

“…The novel routing method suggested in this article follows the steps involved in MANET routing operations, such as route request and route discovery [2]. Finding the device's remaining power for choosing the path from source to designation is one of the new features of the new define algorithm [4].…”
