An Improvement for the Outcome of the Cumulant Method in Two Coupled Networks

Abstract

Over-estimations and/or under-estimations were recorded when utilization is made for the cumulant method in two coupled networks. The work of this paper is focused on the correlation between equivalent loads of the two networks. Correlation/uncorreclation of network loads directly affect the joint probability density function of network loads. Load uncorrelation is implemented. The results obtained for sampla networks strongly reinforced that the errors previously recorded for the cumulant method are attributed to the load correlation basis adopted. With uncorrelated network loads the outcome of this method is greatly improved.
