An Integrated Approach to Pilot Performance Evaluation

Abstract: The issue of norm- versus criterion-referenced evaluation methods is discussed in the context of undergraduate pilot training, and an approach that integrates both methods is described. It is suggested that such an integrated approach would facilitate advanced training management concepts such as proficiency advancement, but would not pose significant user acceptance difficulties.
