Given the challenges facing most humanitarian operations worldwide, a change of approach is needed to ensure greater sustainability of humanitarian settlements right from the planning stage. Some studies attribute unsustainability to inadequate provision of basic resources and highlight the apparent bottlenecks that prevent access to the meaningful data needed to plan and remedy problems. Most operations have relied on an "ad hoc ism" approach, employing parallel and disconnected data processing methods, resulting in a wide range of data being collected without subsequent prioritization to optimize interconnections that could enhance performance. There have been little efforts to study the trade-offs potentially at stake. This work proposes a new framework enabling all subsystems to operate in a single system and focusing on data processing perspective. To achieve this, this paper proposes a Triple Nexus Framework as an attempt to integrate water, energy, and housing sector data derived from a specific sub-system within the overall system in the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering. Understanding the synergies between water, energy, and housing, Systems Engineering characterizes the triple nexus framework and identifies opportunities for improved decision-making in processing operational data from these sectors. Two scenarios illustrate how an integrated platform could be a gateway to access meaningful operational data in the system and a starting point for modeling integrated human settlement systems. Upon execution, the model is tested for nexus megadata processing, and the optimization simulation yielded 67% satisfactory results, demonstrating that an integrated system could improve sustainability, and that capacity building in service delivery is more than beneficial.

In a period characterised by an increasing recognition of environmental concerns and the pressing requirement for sustainable methodologies, the convergence of sustainability and production design has emerged as a pivotal area of focus. The paper addresses the intricate interplay between creative production methods and the pressing need to reduce their environmental impact. This study explores the complex problems and potential benefits associated with integrating artistic innovation and ecological responsibility, drawing on multiple disciplines. This study critically examines the underlying concepts that underpin sustainable design across several industries, including fashion, architecture, cinema, and product manufacturing. It places particular emphasis on the influence of these principles on both the creative process and the final outcomes of these industries. This abstract examines the significant significance of ecoconscious production design in the reduction of waste, conservation of resources, and mitigation of environmental damage. By utilising real-world case studies and examining new trends, this research underscores the possibility of fostering collaboration among artists, designers, engineers, and sustainability specialists. This collaboration aims to develop environmentally sustainable, visually appealing, and socially responsible works. This research provide a complete understanding of the obstacles and potential associated with eco-conscious creation, with the goal of empowering creators, enterprises, and policymakers in the domain of sustainability and production design. By efficiently managing the navigation of this intersection, we may establish the conditions necessary for a more peaceful coexistence between human creativity and the natural environment, so guaranteeing a more promising and sustainable future for all stakeholders involved.

Amid growing concerns about environmental sustainability in agriculture, this study explores the potential of a game‐theoretic approach to identify and implement sustainable crop patterns in the Marvdasht–Kherameh sub‐basin, Iran. Employing a cooperative game‐theoretic framework, the study considers farmers, environmental advocates and policymakers as stakeholders with distinct objectives: maximising profit, minimising environmental pollution and optimising water consumption. This research aims to develop and apply a comprehensive model that effectively integrates these diverse objectives, proposing practical, sustainable agricultural strategies for the region. The game‐theoretic model is integrated with data analysis and optimization techniques to identify Pareto‐optimal solutions that balance the competing objectives of stakeholders with vested interest. The advantage of this approach is its ability to produce a robust, spatially visualised solution using GIS‐based mapping, which improves communication and aids in implementing sustainable crop patterns. Using regression models, an equilibrium point, defined as the intersection of the three polynomial regression models representing profit, nitrate fertiliser amount and water consumption objectives is identified. The optimised crop pattern corresponding to this equilibrium point is determined using a single‐objective optimization model. Key findings include a 40% reduction in wheat cultivation and significant increases in barley (143%) and paddy rice (113%), leading to enhanced resource efficiency and sustainability by optimising water and nitrate fertiliser use. The results offer significant benefits, including detailed spatial visualisation and stakeholder‐specific optimization for sustainable crop patterns, which can be adapted to other agricultural regions facing similar challenges.
