Mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) merupakan jaringan ad-hoc yang dibangun oleh perangkat-perangkat bergerak, salah satunya adalah laptop. Jaringan tersebut merupakan jaringan nirkabel yang bersifat infrastructureless. Jaringan ini mampu mengkomunikasikan node secara peer-to-peer tanpa basic service set (BSS). Ketidakberadaan BSS pada jaringan ini menyulitkan para pengguna dalam mengalokasikan uplink bandwidth bagi node/link kritikal dan mencegah terjadinya flooding pada jaringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah bandwidth management tool berupa program yang diimplementasikan untuk mengalokasikan uplink bandwidth pada jaringan ad-hoc. Program yang dirancang menggunakan metode CBQ untuk classifying dan scheduling paket. Dari hasil pengujian, sistem bandwidth WiFi jaringan ad-hoc menggunakan metode CBQ ini memiliki kinerja throughput 513,24 Kbps yang diperoleh melalui perhitungan average rounded trip time.

The distributed wireless ad hoc network caters to users' demands for high reliability, low latency, and low cost. It has the characteristics of low operation and maintenance costs, strong scalability, no center, and self-organization, and has wide application prospects in 5G and industrial Internet of Things. The access process is a key process for the operation of distributed wireless ad hoc networks, which has a huge impact on its performance. The distributed election mechanism is an effective solution to avoid access collision and achieve efficient access. The number of interactions in the election mechanism will affect the amount of information obtained by the nodes, which will affect the performance of the network's election success probability, delay, and efficiency. When the number of interactions is small, the node obtains less information, and the collision and waste of time slots are serious, resulting in deterioration of network performance. Increasing the number of interactions can increase the amount of information acquired by the nodes, but it will also increase network delay and network overhead. However, the current research on the number of interactions is insufficient. Therefore, this paper studies the impact of the number of interactions on the legal election set and establishes the analytical models of election success probability, delay, and efficiency. The range of interaction times is determined by maximizing the efficiency, election success probability and minimizing delay. Finally, simulation results show that the number of interactions should be adjusted according to the network scale and efficiency.

Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are getting essential to wireless communications because of the growing popularity of mobile devices. However, mobile devices face several challenges in their resources (eg., battery life, storage, and bandwidth) and communication (e.g., mobility and, security). Limited resources considerably impede the improvement of service qualities. MCC permits resources in cloud computing platforms to be used to overcome the dearth of native resources in mobile devices. However, this hinders a mobile user from taking part in a cloud computing service if a connection to the cloud computing platform is both unobtainable or too dear to afford. Therefore, an initial solution will be to use resources from nearby devices instantly. Such a paradigm is known as mobile ad hoc cloud computing where each mobile device can use the services and resources of its neighbor devices. This paper shortly explains the contributions done by us to overcome the three vital operational limitations of mobile devices namely connectivity, storage and, processing capability through the Mobile Ad Hoc Cloud Computing Paradigm. The potential promise of the proposed approaches is evaluated through simulations. Our proposals, taken together intend to increase the operational efficiency of MANETs.
