An objective study of negative accommodation

Abstract: Purpose: to study the dynamic refraction of myopic eyes at the time when the object is fixed in an open field at a distance of 5 m and determine habitual accommodation tone (HAT) in an open field. Material and methods. 130 patients (260 eyes) aged 6 to 23 years (ave. 11.26 ± 0.2 years) with an average refraction spherical equivalent of -4.16 ± 0.13 D were divided into 4 groups, depending on the degree of myopia.
