An open-access database and analysis tool for perovskite solar cells based on the FAIR data principles

Abstract: Large datasets are now ubiquitous as technology enables higher-throughput experiments, but rarely can a research field truly benefit from the research data generated due to inconsistent formatting, undocumented storage or improper dissemination. Here we extract all the meaningful device data from peer-reviewed papers on metal-halide perovskite solar cells published so far and make them available in a database. We collect data from over 42,400 photovoltaic devices with up to 100 parameters per device. We then d… Show more

“…PV cells based on the very same PVK phase can give PCEs in the 12-20% range according to a recent literature survey. 29 The average PCE value of 14.6% that we obtained for cells prepared with commercial Spiro-OMeTAD corresponds to the vast majority of reported PCEs for this class of PCSs. We thus assume our reference value to be meaningful for the comparative ranking of the HTL performances of the newly synthesized materials.…”

“…In the landscape of data-driven business, several applications share important properties with document conversion. One such case is automated knowledge-base construction, where several data processing pipelines have been developed for extraction, normalization, and analysis of knowledge [26], often targeting specific domains like material sciences, geology, or biomedicine [27]- [31]. They commonly process complex or unstructured input data in bulk (e.g., literature, experiment reports, and instrument data), employ machine-learning (e.g., language understanding), and often require complex dynamic pipelines.…”
