However, when they were calculating the WQI, importance weights were given equally to the five parameters, which goes against the recommendations for most approaches to calculating water quality indices where the weight of dissolved oxygen must be greater than the total suspended solids or pH due to its importance in the degradation of organic matter and other processes.…”
