Analysis and Suppression of Self-Generated Thermal Emission in Infrared Optical Systems

Abstract

Takingrefraction-reflectionopticalsystemsasatypicalexampleandusingtheASAPopticalanalysis software,thethree-dimensionalsimulationmodelisbuiltup,andthethermalradiationoftheimportant componentsinthesystemisanalyzedquantitatively.Accordingtotheresultsofsimulationanalysis, optimizingandimprovingmethodsareproposed.Especially,themechanicalconfigurationsnearthe imageplaneand theviewfieldareoptimized.Finally,theconceptoftheeffectiveemissivityis introduced,andthesystemperformanceisevaluated.Theresultsindicatethattheeffectiveemissivityof theinfraredopticalsystemafteroptimizationandthestrayradiationperformancearegreatlyimproved.
