“…Also, during the course of military activities such as the manufacturing, packing and storage of ammunitions, mainly these materials leak to water resources, soils, and air and develop into some environmental contamination . Numerous techniques (e. g. gas chromatography (GC) , fluorescence , X‐ray diffraction, mass spectrometry (MS) , electron capture detection and ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) have been used to detect explosive materials in different forms, i. e., vapor or solution, but these techniques have been either expensive or time‐intensive methods.…”

“…This would allow differentiating between the ammonia released by a dangerous device or the originated by biological processes [46]. Lubrano et al [47] resumed the advances found by Brown's team and quantified the ammonia in ANFO and ammonal (a mixture of ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder) as butyl carbamate through GC-MS, using diethylamine (DEA) as an internal standard, determining that the average concentrations of ANFO and ammonal in the HS were 6 ±2 μg L -1 and 21 ± 3 μg L -1 (Figure 6). In the two studies mentioned above, it is clear that the methodology shows good results under laboratory conditions.…”

“… have reported a novel dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME) for the determination of 18 BAs in beers, but the method needs a lengthy extraction step (centrifugation, elution, and nitrogen drying before sampling). Some researchers have developed on‐fiber derivatization SPME method to overcome the drawbacks, in which the derivatization reagent was firstly adsorbed on fiber before extraction process. Thus, it can simplify the procedure and reduce the amount of reagent.…”
