the ground clutters for airborne radar become near-stationary and are removed using multi-pulse canceling filters. Unlike STAP, this new ground target detection method allows airborne radar to effectively detect ground moving targets in clutter without clutter estimation. The performance of the proposed clutter suppression and target detection algorithm has been demonstrated by carrying out various simulations assuming a typical airborne radar moving target detection scenario. The simulation results show that ground clutters are eliminated from the radar signals when the proposed algorithms are applied, and ground moving targets are detected with simple MTI processing after clutter Doppler compensation.
