Analysis of chromosomes and the Thelper17 and regulatory Tcell balance in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion

Abstract: The present study investigated the genetic etiology and possible immunological pathogenesis of recurrent spontaneous abortion by analyzing chromosome abnormalities, and the balance between T helper 17 (Th17) and regulatory T (Treg) cells. A total of 54 patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion were selected. The villus and decidual tissues, and peripheral venous blood were collected from each patient. Villus chromosome analysis was performed by high-throughput gene sequencing. Flow cytometry was used to det… Show more

“…Recent study investigated the treatment of RSA patients with human Ig combined with hCG (Guo et al 2020). Changes in the expression levels of Th17 and Treg cells before and after treatment were compared with values determined in control patients with successful pregnancy.…”

“…In a study, the outcomes were improved by 60% after the treatment. IG+HCG may be suggested to increase the rate of successful pregnancy by modulation of immune function [44]. The limitations of study is small sample size and absence of control group.…”

“…The immune dysfunction may be enhanced by IG + human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) drug therapy and hence, improving the pregnancy outcomes. It needs to be further explored [44]. In a study, the outcomes were improved by 60% after the treatment.…”

“…Human immunoglobulin (IG) has been used widely for the treatment of abortion (Muyayalo et al, 2018). It may modulate the immune mechanisms (Guo et al, 2020) in such a way that it may tolerate the embryo. The immune dysfunction may be enhanced by IG + hCG drug therapy and, hence, improve pregnancy outcomes.…”
