Analysis of Maximum Power Reduction Efficiency of Photovoltaic System at PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III Plaju

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to review the power output generated during the operation of the solar panels. Data that used to be taken of the Solar Power Plant or PLTS that operate PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III Plaju observed data starting from January 2017 until December 2017 PLTS system installed in PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III Plaju is a kind of photovoltaic grid connected (on grid). The results obtained that in manual calculations obtained fill factor of 0.7594 and output power of 250.884 Watts. “…Pada penelitian yang berjudul pembangkit listrik hybrid tenaga surya dan angin energi fosil di sumatera (2019) [2], sistem monitoring masih dilakukan dari jarak dekat. Pada pembangkit listrik yang kami buat sudah bisa melakukan monitoring daya yang dihasilkan pada pembangkit dari jarak jauh [17]- [24].…”

“…However, solar energy's electrical energy is still minimal [5]. This renewable energy is still experiencing various obstacles resulting in not producing maximum output, which is indicated by low output efficiency [18]. Many types of research are dedicated to increasing the output and efficiency of a solar panel by eliminating factors affecting efficiency, such as overheated PV panel by installing an active cooling system [7] and setting the PV panels on the water body to cool down the panel [8,9,10].…”

“…The use of solar power is also consistent with the government's policy of increasing the use of renewable energy as a substitute for conventional energy (Government Regulation No 79/2014). However, the implementation of solar power has been limited to stateowned enterprises or other large-scale institutions [6]- [8]. It is still very limited in terms of the population environment.…”
