“…[1][2][3] The median forehead flap is the more traditional interpolation flap used for medium to large nasal tip defects because of its large size and relative pliability, and because many consider it a better color and texture match. These include simple measures such as immediate or delayed full-thickness skin grafting with donor sites from the pre-or postauricular areas to local tissue transfer procedures such as the bilobed transposition flap.…”

“…Occasionally one must utilize more complex procedures such as the two-stage median forehead interpolation flap for patients with larger defects that cannot be closed using local tissue transfer techniques. [1][2][3] The median forehead flap is the more traditional interpolation flap used for medium to large nasal tip defects because of its large size and relative pliability, and because many consider it a better color and texture match. 4 However, because of the relative difficulty of performing the median forehead flap in an outpatient setting, other closure options have been sought.…”

“…Many options exist for the treatment of postsurgical nasal tip and alar defects 1 . Traditional approaches include grafting, and other options include flaps recruited from adjacent anatomic subunits and distant flaps.…”

“…Closure of the post‐Mohs defects can be performed utilizing many techniques, from secondary intention closure to free flap reconstruction. One of the most reliable, simple, and versatile closure methods for nasal defects is the nasolabial flap 3,4 . The use of the nasolabial flap is usually limited to defects on the lateral nasal wall.…”
