Analysis of nonuniform data flow over switch type event builders

Abstract

The switch topologies are discussed in terms of graph theory. It is shown that non-blocking circuit switches can handle any requested data flow if the switch-controller is intelligent enough. It is also shown that most event builders do not need non-blocking switches to get high performance.
