Analysis of performance-based issues in green transportation management systems in smart cities

Abstract: Purpose In this paper, an intelligent information assisted communication transportation framework (II-CTF) has been introduced to reduce congestion, data reliability in transportation and the environmental effects. Design/methodology/approach The main concern of II-CTF is to mitigate public congestion using current transport services, which helps to improve data reliability under hazardous circumstances and to avoid accidents when the driver cannot respond reasonably. The program uses machine learning assist… Show more

“…Balakrishnan and Suresh (2018) tested the relationship between eight GSC practices and three performance measures (environmental, operational and economic) for those companies that adopted or planning to adopt GSCM in Indian manufacturing industries using multiple regression analysis. Chen et al (2020) introduced the applicability of analytic network process (ANP) to study the degree of GSC practices of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, and whether the GSC practices can help enterprises to improve their performance. Green et al (2019) empirically assessed the complementary impact of just in time (JIT), total quality management (TQM) and GSC practices on environmental performance using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) methodology for US manufacturers.…”

“…Transport planning plays an important role in building an integrated transportation system and evaluation of green transportation can apply the results of previous traffic planning regarding the evaluation methods and models used [19][20]. Smart city development requires the promotion of energy efficiency in urban areas with an accurate level of data reliability which is heavily influenced by the effects of global urbanization so that efficient energy management can be actualized through the utilization of green transportation [21]. Knowledge development in the development of green transportation needs to apply a strategic approach in concocting the diversity of knowledge in various sectors obtained through searching scientific articles to find knowledge concepts that have novelty values for future knowledge development.…”
