Abstract: Blood transfusion, splenectomy, and partial splenic embolization (PSE) are generally performed for thrombocytopenia in patients with cirrhosis. Recently, thrombopoietin (TPO) agonists have become available, and investigations of patients who would benefit from them are necessary.
