Abstract:Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including relapsing-remitting ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, is a non-specific chronic intestinal inflammatory disease. Lonicera caerulea, which is rich in polyphenolic compounds, has been shown to exert antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects.
