Abstract:This article discusses the thermal technological processes occurring in petroleum coke calcination furnaces, as well as issues of causes of destruction of the refractory material of the calcination furnace lining. The survey showed that the main factors influencing the duration of the work campaign of the lining are the temperature stresses that arise in the lining during sudden temperature changes during heating or cooling, as well as the chemical effect of the process material on the lining.
