Analysis of Xi-hypernuclei

Abstract: The ground-state (cis) binding energies of the Ehyperon in the few known Zhypernuclei have been analysed by adopting a simple Z --nucleus potential for which the Schrddinger equation can be solved analytically and in addition simple formulae for the nuclear part of the E GS binding energy, kinetic and potential energy as functions of the mass number of the core nucleus A,=A may be derived. For the Coulomb part of the interaction the diffuseness of the surface has been taken into account in the framework of an … Show more

“…For systems with spherical symmetry, i.e. single closed-shell nuclei, the coupled system of equations has been solved using finite element methods in coordinate space [6][7][8][9][10], and by expansion in a basis of spherical harmonic oscillator [11][12][13]. For deformed nuclei the present version of the model does not include solutions in coordinate space.…”

“…In this work the data are analyzed by means of a two-parameter single particle hypernuclear potential which has the advantage of giving rather simple analytic expressions for the A energies in the lower nodeless A orbits. This potential model has recently been used for the study of the mass number dependence of the oscillator spacing hurA together with other related quantities [ll] and also for an analysis of:-hypernuclei [12]. In Sec.…”
