Analysis on Ship's Accidents Caused by Dozing Watch-keepers in Judgment Record of Marine Accidents Inquiry Agency Judgments-II

Abstract

The proportion of dozing in all ship accidents is about 7％ (2005) ． The purpose of this study was to investigate ship accidents caused by dozing watch − keepers that actually resulted 三 n marine accidents ， Marine accidents that had been described to the judgment record ofMarine Accidents InquiIy Agency between 1994 and 2003 were used f () r analysis ． The authors investigated the relationship between tbe situations at the doze shipwreck and analyzed data ， which included a 30 − item categor 量 zation procedure ． The analysis of fishing vessels revealed there was a notable relationship between the situation of ' ' Generated in coast in Hokkaido " and the in 伽 e皿ce of " Work tiredness " ． The analysis of cargo ships revealed there was a notab 】 e relationship between the situation of " Watch by one person " and the influence of ' 」 Night shift " ． These results suggest that consideration of ship type may be necessa 「 y developing cou 皿ter measures ， KeywordS：Accident analysis ， Mariti 〃 昭 Cαsua めe l) oze ， Sleep キ ー ワ ー F
