Analytical Methods for Metallothionein Detection

Abstract: Metallothioneins (MTs) are a group of low molecular mass, cysteine-rich proteins with a variety of functions including involvement in metal homeostasis, free radical scavenging, protection against heavy metal damage, and metabolic regulation via Zn donation.
