Anesthetic Implications in Managing a Case of Primary Hyperaldosteronism: A Case Report

Abstract: Primary hyperaldosteronism (also called Conn's syndrome) is a rare condition of the adrenal glands characterized by excessive secretion of the hormone aldosterone, which regulates the balance of water and electrolytes in the body, and maintains blood volume and pressure. Hyperaldosteronism causes sodium and water retention, hypokalemia, hypertension, and muscle weakness.
