Annual Dialysis Data Report 2015, JSDT Renal Data Registry

Abstract: AbstractsThe annual survey of Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy Renal Data Registry (JRDR) was conducted for 4380 dialysis facilities at the end of 2015, among which 4321 facilities (98.7%) responded. “…In contrast, countries other than Japan have been requesting that the results of the JRDR be published in a form that people worldwide may easily use. We expect that the PDF of the English-language annual report, an English translation of the figures as a PowerPoint file, and an Excel file of the tables, will be available to the world from the English-language website of the JSDT.…”

“…Generally, the preferred route of vascular access in chronic kidney disease patients is an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) rather than grafts. However, approximately 7% of 300,000 Japanese hemodialysis (HD) patients continue to dialyze with grafts [1,2]. In patients who have arteriovenous grafts (AVGs), complications such as thrombosis, hemorrhaging, and infection are common, resulting in lower graft patency [3,4].…”
