“…We showed in [4] that these discrep ancies are not resolved through the addition of М2 multipolarity. They could be due to intranuclear conversion with penetration parameter λ 1 = 5.7 ± 0.8.…”

“…This confirms that the systematic errors were negligible and the γ55 keV line intensity was estimated correctly. This procedure is described in more detail in [4]. The use of detectors of various types allowed us to enhance the accuracy of determining the relative intensities of X and γ rays over the range of energies.…”

“…Studies of decay of the K π = 23/2isomer state in 177 Lu (T 1/2 = 160.44 days) have not lost their appeal, as is evidenced by four papers on this subject being pub lished between February 2012 and February 2013 by different research groups [1][2][3][4]. Fifty years of studies have still not provided a comprehensive answer to questions regarding isomer decay branches, γ transi tion intensities, and internal conversion coefficients (ICCs).…”
High precision measurements of the relative intensities of KX and γ rays associated with the decay of the isomer state in 177 Lu (T 1/2 = 160.44 days) are performed using a γ spectrometer that incorporates four different types of semiconductor detectors. Detailed analysis of the balance of intensities of the excited levels in 177 Lu and 177 Hf confirms the consistency of the obtained data. The intensities of the γ and βdecay branches of the isomer and the internal conversion coefficients of the K forbidden transitions are determined.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
