Another Fluid Inclusion Type in Pegmatite Quartz: Complex Organic Compounds

Abstract: Besides typical fluid and melt inclusions specific for miarolitic pegmatites, unusual fluid inclusions filled with complex solid or liquid hydrocarbons were described. Raman spectroscopy was used as the principal method for first characterizing these inclusions. We briefly discuss the meaning of the hydrocarbons in inclusions in pegmatite quartz and think that Oparin's thoughts on the origin of life became new impulses.
