Anthocyanins and catechins in the berries of new strawberry cultivars grown in the conditions of the Orel region

Abstract: The results of the study of 20 new strawberry cultivars grown in the conditions of the Central part of Russia (Orel region), according to the content of anthocyanins, catechins and the total number of polyphenols in berries, are presented. Anthocyanins and catechins are representatives of the main group of phenolic compounds, flavonoids that have a therapeutic and preventive effect on the human body.
