Antibacterial potential test for Scheonoplectus Triqueter (L) Palla

Abstract: Our present investigation aims to test the antibacterial action of Scheonoplectus triqueter (L) palla against the gram negative bacteria i.e. Escherichia coli and gram positive bacteria i.e staphylococcus aureus. The crude extract is taken in ethanol which is then fractionated into a different fraction in n-hexane, ethyl acetate, di-chloro methane (DCM) and water. The fractions are then separately applied to E.coli and s.aureus bacterial strains.
