Antibiotic‐loaded bone substitutes therapy in the management of the moderate to severe diabetic foot infection: A meta‐analysis

Abstract: In recent years, local antibiotic‐loaded bone substitutes (ALBS) have been used increasingly in the treatment of diabetic foot infection (DFI). The meta‐analysis aimed to analyse the efficacy of ALBS on patients with moderate to severe DFI (with or without osteomyelitis). With an appropriate search strategy, 7 studies were selected for analysis (2 RCTs and 5 cohort studies).
