Abstract:To study the effect of cobalt intake on catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities and the levels of lipid peroxidation by measuring thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TEARS), streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats were treated with cobalt chloride (CoC1;}(0.5 mM in the drinking water) for up to 44 days.
