“…Pharmacological investigations have revealed that Sedum species possess antiangiogenic, anticholinesterase, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antinociceptive, antioxidant, antitumor, and hepatoprotective properties (He et al, 1998 ; Bonina et al, 2000 ; Kim et al, 2004 ; De Melo et al, 2005 ; Jung et al, 2008 ; Van Diermen et al, 2010 ; Dahpour et al, 2012 ; Ertas et al, 2014 ; Bensouici et al, 2016 ; Chen et al, 2016 ). Phytochemical investigations reveal the presence of several medical compounds in Sedum species like alkaloids, chlorogenic acid, chrysin, coumarins, cyanogenic glycoside, cyclotrisiloxane, eicosane, flavonoids (hesperetin, kaempferol, naringenin, and quercetin), hexadecanoic acid, neophytadiene, phenolic acids (caffeic and ferulic), and terpenes (Bonina et al, 2000 ; De Melo et al, 2005 ; Yoshikawa et al, 2007 ; Van Diermen et al, 2009 ; Dahpour et al, 2012 ; Morikawa et al, 2012 ; Beltrán-Orozco et al, 2013 ).…”
