Abstract: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a recurrent partial or complete obstruction of the upper airway during sleep caused by narrowing or collapse of the pharyngeal wall. It leads to microstimulation and oxyhemoglobin desaturation, resulting in sleepiness and loud snoring.
