“…The effects of impurities capable of exchanging energy with spins of the majority species only in magnetic fields of particular strength and direction are well known: examples may be found in the work of Feher and Scovil(1957), Sabisky and Anderson (1970), Wharmby and Gill (1970), Haseda et a1 ( ), Raoult (1973, Moore and Satten (1973) and Bates et aZ (1974). In most of these studies the cross-relaxation was of the two-spin variety (iv) in figure 2, though in some the harmonic processes (v) were also detected, and in the last two investigations evidence was found of cross-relaxation due to spin-spin interactions other than magnetic-dipolar and exchange couplings.…”
