Application of a Nursing Data-Driven Model for Continuous Improvement of PICC Care Quality

Abstract: A PICC catheter maintenance network was established and managed to monitor the maintenance of catheters in placed patients throughout the process, providing homogeneous PICC catheter continuity of care for patients. Model-driven thinking is an idea for simulation system development. Model-driven architecture (MDA) is a design methodology that implements model-driven thinking and is widely used in simulation system development. Based on the requirements of nursing, the data-driven model is mainly divided into i… Show more

“…The levels of CYFRA21-1, CA125, and VGEF in the observation group after our study care were significantly lower than those in the comparison group, indicating that PICC placement care was more effective in patients with lung cancer and who underwent PICC puncture and significantly improved the level of tumor markers in patients. CYFRA21-1 is a soluble fragment of incineration, which is widely distributed in Bellamy or squamous epithelium, and CYFRA21-1 can be released into the blood when tumor cells are Elysee or necrotic, which has a high diagnostic and efficacy assessment application value for patients [ 17 ]. CA125 is a saccharine protein with low concentration in the serum of healthy individuals, which is released into the blood when tumor infiltration occurs in the organism, and its half-life is short and metabolism is fast, and its detection level can be used to reflect the recent efficacy of tumor treatment [ 18 ].…”

“…Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) is a method of catheterization in which a catheter is inserted through a peripheral vein into a central vein with its tip in the superior vena cava or subclavian vein. 1 It is safe and easy to maintain intravenous access because of its soft texture, good elasticity, low irritation to blood vessels and long retention time. 2 Its suitable for infusion of various irritating or highly permeable drugs, chemotherapy drugs, nutritional support, blood products, etc.…”

“…PICC has been widely used for long-term transfusion, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition since it was introduced to China 4–6. It is a reliable form of intravenous access with high patient satisfaction due to some advantages, such as easy operation, long-term use, avoidance of repeated punctures and reduced vascular damage 5 7–9…”
