Application of electrodynamic drum separator to electronic wastes separation

Abstract: Wykorzystanie bębnowego separatora elektrodynamicznego do separacji odpadów elektronicznych Wstęp W krajach unii Europejskiej każdego roku powstaje około 8 mln ton zużytego sprzętu elektrycznego i elektronicznego (przy czym roczny przyrost tempa powstawania tych odpadów to 3-5%), podczas gdy na całym świecie w skali roku powstaje około 20-50 mln ton tych odpadów. Przykładowy skład morfologiczny obwodów drukowanych z elementami elektroniki przedstawiono na rysunku 1 (Veit i in. 2005; Birloaga 2013). Głównymi pi… Show more

“…Thus, the set of parameters for position of the applicator is not to be neglected. In the case of solenoid applicator, five parameters are enough to provide any position [8]. Thus, the best location will be ensured in the context of adopted cost evaluation.…”

“…The electromagnetic field is used for different of technological processes (separation of magnetic and electrodynamic [9,10]), medicine (magnetic therapy, diagnostics) [11,12]. Electrodynamic separation is the process of separating two or more components with different physical properties, the forces of the electric field.…”

“…When the difference in charge decay takes effect, the particles of the plastic mixture are charged with the same polarity, usually using the corona discharge electrode. The most common structures of separators utilizing this effect are drum and belt type separators [ 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 ] shown in Figure 1 a. The positive and negative charging of the particles in the plastic mixture is achieved by the tribocharging process performed in special devices called tribochargers.…”
