Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the application of the Levi-Civita (L-C) and Kustaanheimo–Stiefel (K-S) regularization methods to quantum mechanical systems in two and three dimensions. Schrödinger equations in two and three dimensions, describing a particle moving under the combined influence of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] potentials are mapped to that of a harmonic oscillator with inverted sextic potential, and interactions, in two and four dimensions, respectively. Using the perturbative soluti… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
