Application of the Thermal Impedance Spectroscopy method in three dimensions to a large prismatic Li-ion cell

Abstract: Thermal impedance spectroscopy (TIS) is applied for the thermal characterization of a large prismatic battery cell. The method is based on previously published work and is extended to a three dimensional system. By using a discretized three dimensional model, the experimental results can be fitted to obtain the specific heat capacity and heat conductivity of the cell in three dimensions.
