Applications of the microprocessor in the behavioral medicine laboratory

Abstract: Applications of the microprocessor for use within a behavioral medicine laboratory are reviewed. Current uses include clinical assessment (test administration, scoring, and intepretation), patient data file creation, data storage and retrieval, word processing of manuscripts and reference lists, data reduction, statistical analysis, and computer-assisted therapy. Instrumentation and software in use and under development are described, as well as future prospects.
